DIY Fashion, how to make your own couture studded outfits, so very simple it will be hard not to get carried away!

I was having a sneaky peek through wiwt.com as I am prone to do, trying to keep up with what people are wearing and feasting my eyes on how these fashionistas are putting together their own looks with current fashion.

Now as you can tell from my previous post, I am gaining a serious interest in all things “studded”, I don’t know what it is that appeals to me… perhaps I just like looking at shiny metal objects… I am easily entertained! But I can see myself in quite a few of the items and I can also see how I can easily make some of these garments myself (or close to it!).

I saw Poppy from wiwt.com wearing a top from Buttonmess (pic above) it was gorgeous in it’s simplicity, get a plain grey or black vest top, some screw spikes and your imagination, no sewing, no mess, quick and easy refashion.

Studs and spikes come in all shapes and sizes to it’s completely up to you what you like the look of.  I have a plain dark indigo denim jacket from Zara that I bought 10 years ago (was it really that long ago??) and I do like it, but it needs a little lift, so  that’s going to get “studded” when they eventually arrive (it’s been 2 weeks so hopefully not too much longer.)

I loved this little jacket from nastygal.com, again it’s taking something relatively plain and adding some creative magic to it. So this is what I’m going to base my Zara jacket refashion on.
