Spicy Vegan Pizza made with wholewheat pizza dough

Friday night always seems to be one of those nights when you feel like treating yourself with a great weekend classic – a Pizza.  This was one of those Friday nights! I have my UBound Class at 6pm on a Friday so I made my pizza dough before I went so that it had the time to rise, and was ready for me to start with when I got back. This recipe is seriously easy, it might look time consuming with the dough making, but that itself takes 15 minutes of your time and then you can be off doing […]

W2H to replace BMI – Check your waist to height ratio today!

Just read today that British Researchers have found a formula that will help us to increase our life expectancy. Seems so simple too, just keep the size of your waist to less than half the size of your height, so for me at 69.5 inches tall, to avoid health related problems like heart disease and diabetes, I need to keep my waist line to under 34.75 inches. Seems very simple. As most of us have come to realise, the BMI (Body Mass Index) isn’t the best method for everyone in calculating how good a shape our bodies are in. With […]

Eating like Vegan Kings

I used to think that I loved cooking before… I had no idea the culinary delights that I was missing out on in the world of vegan eating.  The first thing that many people think when you tell them you’re following a vegan diet is “but you can’t eat anything” or “how do you get your protein/calcium?”, I know this, because I used to think exactly the same way, but when you go a little deeper and decide to make the decision to stop eating foods that are in fact bad for you and embrace a natural diet, you find […]

It’s a bit embarrassing to talk about this on our blog, but I had to say something in case it might help others who, like me, suffer horrendously on a monthly basis.  Not only did I not have any menstrual cramps but there […]

Usually my gym classes are in the mornings but on 2 nights of the week I have an evening class, so it’s always great to get dinner prepared before I go so we don’t end up eating too late at night, yesterday we opted for a delicious pasta dish, just what I needed after my Fight Do Class. This took literally 20 minutes to whip up and there was plenty left over to have for lunch today which was an added bonus. Whole-Wheat Spaghetti with Lemon, Rocket, Cherry Tomatoes, Almonds & Walnuts Recipe (serves 2 main meals & 2 small lunches) […]

Celebrity Vegetarians and Vegans

If you need any inspiration on jumping on the vegan/vegetarian diet then this should give you a heads up. These are just some of the stars I came across in looking for vegans & vegetarians. I had no idea than many of these stars were vegans/vegetarians and I can now see how they manage to keep their good looks and sharp minds, some of these stars are well into their old age, yet look 10, 20 years younger than they are. Betty White is by far my greatest inspiration, look at the women. She’s 90 years old, still acting, whizzing […]
