DIY Couture (no sew) Fashion, make your own CC inspired Top, so many variations, you’re spoiled for choice.

I love Chanel inspired pieces, purely because I can’t afford to go splash out on the real thing, so when DIY designs come up which gets you in the mood for some refashion fun, it would be rude not to give it a go! This particular no sew DIY fashion project would be great to do with your teenage kids, nieces, sister etc or just for yourself for a sassy new look for a night out. Perfect with jeans (like above, 5 Preview top worn by Mode Junkie) or leather look leggings, pair of gorgeous heels, serious eyeliner, perhaps some deep […]

DIY Studded Shoes – Great idea for giving a new look to an old or boring pair of shoes lying in the back of the wardrobe!

Saturday morning, while I was waiting for my DIY manicure to dry, I started watching Gok’s Fashion Fix where he was transforming a pair of plain black boots into serious Glam Warrior Boots with these little studs he added all the way down the back of the boots. I love  how easy you can apply studs to pretty much any item of clothing, jeans, tops, shoes, belts, handbags, the list is endless, plus you can pick up studs for next to nothing on the internet, ebay has a tonne to choose from. It gives many tired or unused items a […]

Easy to make, Cartier style friendship bracelets, perfect for gifts or a treat for yourself!

Recently my niece took me to one of those old style toy shops that had all the great games I had as a child, Etch A Sketch, Hungry Hippos, Kerplunk etc, I was left feeling suitable nostalgic! While we were having a nosey around the store, there was a great section on crafts and Yasmin (my fabulously design conscious niece) spotted a great little friendship bracelet kit. At a fiver it would have been rude not to have got it and as soon as we got home, she opened it and started to make her first bracelet. It was quite ingenious really, it had […]

It ‘s been an age since I’ve posted, been busy visiting the family through the summer and days out at the beach with the flock of nieces and nephews, but School is in session once again, so got some serious blog time on my hands! I’ve got so many new recipes to try out and of course back on the DIY Fashion band wagon to create some Autumn outfits. So with the new season sneaking up on us and with a few invites to the theatre lined up for the month, I’ve been looking at dresses that would do well […]

Timeless Fashion, distressed jeans and killer heels, look effortlessly chic!

Sometimes I see outfits that I fall in love with in an instant and want to try out, more and more I look for those kind of styles that fit everyday situations, casual yet incredibly well put together like Atlantic-Pacific’s collection. This girl knows how to put an outfit together and her accessories and colour combinations are outstanding (in my opinion!). This particular outfit above is one of my favourites, the heels with the cropped jeans is fab and so interchangeable with different tops, the jumper is really cute and for an evening out, just swap it for your favourite […]

DIY Fashion, Make your own couture top using an old tshirt and some elastic, so very simple.

This is just a quick bit of inspiration for a striped tshirt, of which I have many (tshirts). I loved the look of trashtocouture’s gorgeous shirt idea which I could adapt so that I could still wear a bra underneath simply by making a slightly thicker band of ribbon or elastic where my back strap will be. This would go great with a pair of skinny jeans and some killer heels or if you’re a borderline giant like myself, ballet pumps. So cute but edgy at the same time! Tutorial info here PS, the top inspired by Bailey 44 would […]
