Designer DIY Fashion, Miu Miu Inspired Jewelled Heels, just perfect for the upcoming festive season.

It’s getting close to planning outfits for Christmas & New Year’s Eve parties and I found this tutorial from honestlywtf.com for jewelled heels that just screams “make me”. I love the simplicity and how you can do this with pretty much any of your favourite high heels and they look absolutely stunning… and expensive! So easy, just a pair of heels, selection of rhinestones, glue and your on your way to a pair of chic designer style shoes that won’t break the bank. I perhaps might opt for a slightly smaller heel… don’t want to bump my head on a […]

Travel Inspiration – Karlovy Vary (Casino Royale Location) a gorgeous location for a long weekend break

I am so suggestible! I watched Casino Royale the other day… I had been holding off as I just can’t quite get my head around Daniel Craig being Bond (it will always be Sean for me!) but I thought I would give it a go and although I’m still not 100% convinced on Daniel as Bond, he’s not terrible… I’m going to watch Quantum of Solace this week so I may make a definitive decision one way or another! But what I did LOVE about Casino Royale was the location (supposedly Montenegrom but actually Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic), […]

Robert Burns, A Red Red Rose, a poem to warm the heart!

I wanted to post this poem, purely so I will always remember it. My grandfather loved Rabbie Burns poetry andhis favourite to read to us was “My Heart’s in the Highlands” (equally as great!), but there is something about A Red Red Rose that lifts my spirits and many times brings a tear to the eye! So if you don’t already know it, I hope you enjoy! Don’t panic either, it’s not spelling mistakes, it’s the wonderful language that is Scottish! O my Luve’s like a red, red rose That’s newly sprung in June; O my Luve’s like the melodie […]

Chocolate Covered Coffee Cake Bars, ready in under half an hour, delicious afternoon treat.

It started raining today, a real storm with thunder and lightning, so the day was dark and just put me in one of those moods that makes me want to get all cosy. I was going to head out and do a little shopping, but the rain bouncing off the ground put me off, so I headed to the kitchen instead to make some comfort treats and concocted a chocolate covered, not quite a biscuit, not quite a cake, treat that just hit the spot perfectly. Chocolate Covered Coffee Cake Bars MyInspiration Feel The Difference Range (Vegan) Makes 15 cookies […]

Curry Pies with Spicy Cous Cous. Serve with some hot mango chutney and you have yourself a feast!

I made some curry pies last week but the pastry didn’t quite come out how I thought they would, so I’ve gone back to the drawing board and have given it another go. So glad I did, these were a big hit with the boys in the house. The recipe is enough for 6 good sized pies and enough cous cous to feed 4 ( I over catered slightly!). Curry Pie & Spicy Cous Cous Makes 6 pies   Ingredients   For the Pastry 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder 6 tablespoons olive oil 8 […]
