Quick, Healthy, Scrumptious Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies, Vegan and ready to eat in less that half an hour.

It’s the weekend and at the weekend I do love to make cookies. (Who am I trying to kid, I’ll make cookies every day if I could). I had a little peanut butter left over from making some no bake energy balls, so I decided to use it up. I love the combination of peanut butter and sesame seeds together and thought it would go great in a cookie recipe, adding a little bit of this and a little bit of that from the cupboards and I’m pretty impressed with the outcome. I usually follow a strict recipe and don’t […]

Delicious Spicy Veggie Burgers with a side of pineapple, cucumber salsa and sweet potato fries

Probably the best thing I’ve found since becoming vegan is the extensive variety in burgers. I’ve made so many different types of burgers these past 6 months I rarely make the same recipe twice (unless of course it is mind blowingly fabulous – which this one is!). You can play around with the seasoning, making them as spicy as you like, maybe adding a dash of Tabasco, like we did, it’s completely up to your own taste buds… I’m contemplating adding some hot curry powder next time… just because!   Spicy Veggie Burgers with pineapple, cucumber salsa and spicy sweet-potato fries […]

DIY Couture (no sew) Fashion, make your own CC inspired Top, so many variations, you’re spoiled for choice.

I love Chanel inspired pieces, purely because I can’t afford to go splash out on the real thing, so when DIY designs come up which gets you in the mood for some refashion fun, it would be rude not to give it a go! This particular no sew DIY fashion project would be great to do with your teenage kids, nieces, sister etc or just for yourself for a sassy new look for a night out. Perfect with jeans (like above, 5 Preview top worn by Mode Junkie) or leather look leggings, pair of gorgeous heels, serious eyeliner, perhaps some deep […]

Quick and Healthy Lentil Bolognese, vegan, clean and ready in half an hour. Great if you’re in a rush!

I love pasta dishes.  Not only because they are great for packing loads of vegetables into, but because it’s so quick and easy to do.  A great meal that’s cheap, fast and great for all the family. Tonight I opted to make a spaghetti lentil bolognese and it was tasty, the only thing that was missing (this is what happens when significant other does the shopping…) was some black olives! So here’s the easy recipe, hope you enjoy! Lentil Bolognese (Vegan, Clean) (Serves 2)   Ingredients 1 onion finely chopped 2 carrots peeled and grated 1 Yellow pepper, diced 1 […]

DIY Studded Shoes – Great idea for giving a new look to an old or boring pair of shoes lying in the back of the wardrobe!

Saturday morning, while I was waiting for my DIY manicure to dry, I started watching Gok’s Fashion Fix where he was transforming a pair of plain black boots into serious Glam Warrior Boots with these little studs he added all the way down the back of the boots. I love  how easy you can apply studs to pretty much any item of clothing, jeans, tops, shoes, belts, handbags, the list is endless, plus you can pick up studs for next to nothing on the internet, ebay has a tonne to choose from. It gives many tired or unused items a […]

Always be thankful for what you have!

I know that sometimes we think we have it tough, a bad day at the office, money worries, body issues, family feuds, etc etc, but when it really comes down to it and you think of how millions of people struggle on a daily basis, I think most of us could do with a serious reality check and start thinking about how fortunate we are compared to others.
