Live your life to the full – Become your own person and be proud of your own achievements.

Steve Jobs hit the nail on the head when he said that time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. We are surrounded by a generation where many seek to mimic a life they think they are missing out on, be it a jet setting celebrities or just the next door neighbour who might drive a slightly more expensive car.   While they mourn the life they feel they they didn’t get or the life they believed they deserve, they miss out on enjoying all the wonderful things that they do have in their own lives and if […]

Gym Motivation – Getting back to the gym after a holiday

Usually when I get back from a holiday I can’t wait to get straight back to the gym, this is probably because I have over indulged on holiday and been disgustingly sedentary during my time away and feel the need to burn off all the extra weight I’ve gained from excess everything! But not so on this holiday, armed with my pedometer, we calculated that we’d walked nearly 150km in just 6 days. Vintage T-Shirts – Perfect Fashion Staple!

While we were wandering through the streets of Pisa and Rome, I couldn’t help but marvel at the impeccable taste Italian women have when it comes to just casual dress (if they know such a thing!). Their look screams effortless chic but I can only imagine that some serious thought has gone into putting the outfit together. Now, I’ve been to Rome once before, 10 years ago and although the landmarks have remained the same the amount of tourists milling about the place hasn’t! So when we got to Rome (about 5pm) we decided to have a relaxing evening and set out early in the morning. Armed with our map and kitted out in trainers (very important if you’ve planning a day of sight seeing) we left the apartment at 6.30am, jumped on the Metro and 5 minutes later we were walking down Viale Manzoni and onto Via Labicana heading towards the Colosseum. Apart from a few […]

Vegan in Pisa, dining experiences from Italy

Having just returned from our trip away in Italy, we were amazed at the ease in which we managed to maintain our vegan diet.  It wasn’t always quite as straight forward as I would have liked but we live and learn. Breakfasts where simple enough, we were staying at a lovely hotel that had a breakfast buffet, so we could load up on fresh fruit, italian bread with marmalade and a cheeky espresso or 2. There was also a selection of cereals, but you never know… plus it was only cow’s milk available (in some hotels you might just need […]
