World Travel, 5 beautiful locations you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

We’ve caught the travel bug again, was bound to happen when you start looking into possible locations for a holiday and there is location after location that you just feel you have to go to! It’s only 20 days until we go off on our Italy adventure, not that I’m on a holiday countdown or anything! I’ve seen a few other locations which I think would be perfect for us to venture out and see in the next few years, so I’ll be keeping my little back pack to hand and be ready to just book it and go. There’s […]

Couture DIY Fashion, Basket weaving old Tshirts

I’ve been putting my list of items together for the bits and bobs I want to pick up on my next visit to the Charity shop so I can commence some of the projects I’ve seen. The list just keeps going as I come across more and more great ideas, like basket weaving an old t-shirt from Trash to Couture. I’m completely envious of the creativity of these tutorials and how easy other people have made it for beginners to get started in DIY fashion. This has just jumped up the list of “things to make”, Basket Weaving an Old […]

Making Seitan, my first attempt after watching Chad Sarno on Planeat

We’ve seen a lot of recipes that ask for seitan and we thought it was an actual product you have to buy from a health store or something, but after watching Planeat this afternoon, we watched as Chef Chad Sarno made a delicious looking feast with home made seitan brisket, mash potatoes and a beautiful mushroom gravy.  My mouth was watering just looking at it on the screen, so I knew I had to give it a go tonight for dinner. Accessories, how a statement necklace can make all the difference to an outfit

I have had this grey sequinned River Island top in my wardrobe for about 2 years and I have never actually worn it.  It was just a little too low cut for my taste and I just didn’t really see it going with anything I had in my wardrobe.  That is until I picked up this fab new necklace from New Look, I love the colours and a few people complimented me on it yesterday, which is always lovely. I raided my wardrobe and found a little vest top (also new look) that was close in colour to the necklace, […]

Summer Pudding – Mango Sago Soup with Pomelo & Dragon Fruit

It is now very much summer weather, so Hot Hot Hot, and BBQ season has begun. We always take a little something with us when we go to a BBQ and I’m usually there with some kind of dessert offering. So on the hunt for some dessert inspirations I came across this delicious looking dessert with Dragon Fruit in it.  I can’t actually get Dragon fruit in my area, so I think I’ll need to use kiwi or strawberry as a replacement, the whole thing looks lush and colourful and can’t help but impress my hosts. Mango Sago Soup with […]

Birthday Cake Recipes that will make my day that extra bit special!

It’s my birthday this week, I shall be the ripe age of 33 and I’m actually thinking that I might bake myself a special cake to celebrate. I know it may sound a little sad that I’m making my own birthday cake, but there aren’t many bakers around here that will cater to my exacting demands… mainly that it needs to be Vegan. I’ve seen a few recipes I’d like to try out and I just need to be bold and pick which one I want to do for my actual birthday and get preparing. The two I have narrowed […]
